Board Update
Good Morning Eagle Lake!
The Board met Tuesday and elected new Officers for this year:
Debra Duncan – President
John Lauria – Vice-President
Cheryl Navoy – Treasurer
Aliya Patel – Secretary
Please support them as you have supported me these last few years. This
year, I will be taking care of the website and mailing lists, and
supporting Deb and John in their new roles. It’s been a pleasure being
President for the last few years, and I thank you all for helping us keep
this lake the wonderful place it is. There is still work to do with the
Long Term Project, but Deb has been engaged with the Board since the Flood
and we are in good hands. And I hope the switch to Progressive for our
Lake Management will continue to be a positive experience.
Enjoy the Weekend!

Lake Update – Harvesting June 12th
*Harvesting* – PLM was out this week, and it didn’t look like there was a
lot of excess floating up on shore. If you have any observations that we
can use the next time we have to decide to harvest or not, let us know
*Lake Level* – It had gotten down to +6.5LLL before these last batch up
storms, but they put us back up to +9LLL. After the Township, Drain
Office, and EGLE met this week, Tom Wheat is supposed to submit a report
back to the Township at their next meeting for how to proceed. While no
one from the Lake was invited, reports were that everyone was agreeable to
altering the permit to pump faster depending on the circumstances.
*Water Treatment* – PLM will be out 6/17 to treat mostly Lake 1. More
information can be found here
Enjoy the Warm Weather

Lake Update – Harvesting June 8th
*Harvesting* – Progressive had observed some areas in their May 11th survey
that they suggested harvesting. The Board, as it was composed before the
Meeting, voted on whether to move forward with the harvesting. In a split
vote, it was approved. This area is mainly in the West Basin, and should
only be 20 hours of harvesting. This is a smaller effort, and one that we
can watch and take notes as to how it goes. It is also relatively cheap
compared to quotes from last year. They are scheduled to come out June 8th
and finish by June 9th. The treatment map can be found on our website:

*Lake Level* is still slowly going down. Just over 7.5″ above LLL last
update. The Drain Commissioner reported that the pump is currently on.
There has been discussion between the Drain Office, EGLE, and the Township
about possibly having a higher pump rate in emergencies, the meeting is set
for June 8th and we will report back what comes of the meeting. The level
can be found here
